Principal's Message

Meet Principal Monday

Bobcat Families,

I am so excited to serve as the Principal of Brook Hill Elementary.  I have been part of the Bobcat Family for many years, and I could not image spending my days anywhere else.

Prior to becoming the Principal I was the Interim Principal and also a teacher.  I started my time at Brook Hill in 1st grade and then taught a 4/5 multi age classroom before moving onto being the Interim Principal.  Although I miss being inside the classroom so much I have loved this new adventure.

Here is a little bit about me:  I am so proud of to be a product of Santa Rosa City Schools.  I attended Herbert Slater Middle School and graduated from Montgomery High School.  I studied at both of our local Sonoma County colleges - Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State.  Most recently I finished my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at Concordia University in Irvine, CA.  I was able to complete my Masters Degree and Administrative Credential, which allows me to hold this position.

I live very close to school with my husband, Kyle, and our dog, Zeus.  Many of our bobcat students have met or seen Zeus around campus because he is a certified emotional support animal.  He has a vest that he wears on campus when he visits. He loves coming to school!

I am excited to continue my journey at BH as your Principal for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year.  I am eager to continue to build relationships with families.  This is my favorite part of the job!  Our students are most successful when the home and school community are able to work together.

Please know that my door is always open and I would love to meet you all.  Please come by and say hello next time you are on campus.  You can also email me (imonday@srcs.k12.ca.us) or give the Main Office a call (707) 890-3915. We can do great things for our bobcat students when we work together as a team.

GO BOBCATS!

- Mrs. Monday
