5th Grade

Hello 5th Graders and Families!

We hope you and your families are safe and healthy. We will miss each of you and we hope we will be able to meet face to face soon. While we are away, We hope to make your distance learning experience fun and engaging. Below is a list of activities/websites that will help your child continue their education.

We will be using Google Classroom as our Distance Learning Platform. Through Google Classroom, we will contact parents and students, as well as, provide assignments and resources.

Students need to be logged into their Gsuite account to access Google Classroom. If you need your student's login please email me or Classdojo me for the information.

*Teachers will be available throughout the week  by email for any questions and/or concerns. Look for specific office hours on our websites found on the left.

1. Let's Go Learn  (http://www.letsgolearn.com/login)

Math Edge and Language Arts Edge

This is a program for students that we have been using daily in the classroom. It provides targeted lessons for students at their level in Math and Language Arts.

(Usage goals: 30 minutes Math, 30 minutes ELA daily- Students should be completing and passing one level within each session.)

2. Epic (www.getepic.com)

This is a program that students can access hundreds of books online. Simply click on the link under Websites/Sitios de Web. Parents should have received an email to set up a home account.

(Usage goals: Students should be reading for 30 minutes daily)

Other Activities

  • Read assigned Chapters in Holes or Tuck Everlasting.
  • Practice math facts
  • Complete activity packet

My goal is to provide quality learning opportunities for students  while we are away from the classroom. Students grades will not suffer if you are unable to complete assignments due to family issues, illness, etc.  but we strongly encourage families to work with children daily.
